CLAVE PRELIMINAR PARA IDENTIFICAR ESPECIES DE LA FAMILIA STERCULIACEAE EN VENEZUELA

Abstract

RESUMEN: La revisión del material vegetal basada en el análisis de muestras colectadas y de material preservado en los herbarios más importantes del país, permitió identificar 68 especies incluidas en los géneros Ayenia (3), Byttneria (12), Cola (1), Dombeya (1), Guazuma (1), Herrania (2), Helicteres (7), Melochia (16), Pterygota (1), Sterculia (7), Theobroma (7) y Waltheria (10). Las muestras fueron procesadas utilizando la técnica de Mark André. El análisis crítico se realizó con un microscopio estereoscópico con cámara clara (Wild M3). Se presentan claves para los géneros y las especies. ABSTRACT: The revision of plant stock comprising samples belonging to the sterculiaceae family collected in the most important nurseries of the country permitted the identification of 68 species included in the genera Ayenia (3), Byttneria (12), Cola (1), Dombeya (1), Guazuma (1), Herrania (2), Helicteres (7), Melochia (16), Pterigota (1), Sterculia (7), Theobroma (7), and Waltheria (10). The samples were processed by the Mark André technique (Cristobal, 1976). A critical analysis was performed with a stereoscopic microscope fitted with a camara lucida (Wild M3). Keys for the genera and the species are provided.
