PREPARACIÓN DE LOS COMEDORES DE LAS UNIVERSIDADES AUTÓNOMAS VENEZOLANAS ANTE EL APROVECHAMIENTO DE LAS TIC

Abstract

RESUMEN: Internet, por su condición de uso masivo y popular, representa uno de los productos bandera de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC). Su prolijo uso, en el contexto contemporáneo, dinamiza las actividades y responsabilidades económicas y sociales que caracterizan actualmente a las organizaciones de carácter privado y público, permitiéndoles competir en mejores condiciones y vincularse con el entorno. Desde esta perspectiva, surge que propósito de esta investigación es determinar el grado de preparación para la Red de Comedores de las universidades autónomas del país, específicamente desde la propuesta teórica de Hartman et al. (2000). Esta considera que tal preparación tiene como pilares fundamentales a factores como liderazgo, modelo organizacional, capacidad y tecnología. El estudio se desarrolló a través de un proceso investigativo de nivel descriptivo (Hurtado de Barrera, 2000), basado en un diseño de campo, donde los informantes responsables de dirigir y tomar las decisiones en materia de dotación y capacitación tecnológica en los comedores bajo estudio, fueron interpelados con relación a los factores antes mencionados. Los resultados, en el marco del indicador Net Ready, permiten concluir que los comedores de la ULA y UCV núcleo Maracay están mejor preparados con la categoría “visionarios”; los comedores de UDO núcleos Sucre y Nueva Esparta son “lideres”, y el del núcleo Anzoátegui es “conocedor”; mientras que el de UC está la categoría “experto”. Por su parte, los comedores de los núcleos Monagas y Bolívar de la UDO, UCV Caracas, y LUZ se los considera en la categoría de “agnóstico”. ABSTRACT: Internet, due to its massive and popular use, represents one of the main products of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Its detailed use, in a contemporaneous context, motivate the activities and economical and social responsibilities that nowadays characterize the public and private organizations, allowing them to compete in better conditions and have better links with the neighborhood. From this perspective, there arises that the purpose of this research is to determine the degree of preparation for the Dining Rooms Network in the autonomous universities of Venezuela, specifically, from the theoretical perspective of Hartman et al. (2000). The latter considers that such readiness is based upon leadership, organizational model, capacity and technology. The study was performed through an investigative process of descriptive level (Hurtado de Barrera, 2000), based on a field design, where informants with the responsibility of directing and taking the decisions on endowment and technological training within the dining rooms under study, were interviewed in relation to the aforementioned factors. The results, within the Net Ready framework, allowed to conclude that the dining rooms of ULA and UCV campus of Maracay are better prepared and can be categorized as "visionaries"; UDO's dining rooms of the campuses at Sucre and Nueva Esparta are "leaders", while the dining room at the Anzoátegui campus is "knowledgeable"; whereas that of the UC can be categorized as "expert". In the other hand, the dining rooms of the Monagas and Bolivar campuses of UDO, that of UCV Caracas, and LUZ are considered in the category of "agnostic".
