CASO DE HEMANGIOMA MÚLTIPLE EN RECIÉN NACIDO COMPLICADO CON SÍNDROME DE KASSABACH MERRITT

Abstract

RESUMEN: Se presenta un caso de recién nacido femenino (2500 g de peso, 44 cm de talla), obtenida por cesárea segmentaria de 33 semanas + 4 días gemelar (segundo feto) (Apgar de 8 y 9 al primer y quinto minuto), de una madre de 22 años, (en el Hospital Universitario “Antonio Patricio de Alcalá” el 25 de Noviembre de 2005). A las 36 horas fallece por secuestro plaquetario. Autopsia revelo coagulopatía por consumo en áreas de proliferación celular con células cebadas. ABSTRACT: A female second-twin newborn weighing 2500 g and measuring 44 cm who had been delivered by lower segment C-section performed on a 22-year old mother at 33 weeks and four days of gestation, and given an Apgar score of 8 and 9 at 1 and 5 minutes, respectively, at the Antonio Patricio de Alcalá University Hospital on 25 November 2005. The infant died 36 hours after birth due to platelet sequestration. The autopsy revealed disseminated intravascular coagulation in areas with continued mast cell formation.
